Congratulations to Anita Hostetler, 2017 Oregon Outstanding Customer Service Representative

Anita has been with Hanson Insurance Group of Corvallis, Oregon as their Commercial Lines Account Representative for almost three years. She enjoys working with children and is an active volunteer at her church. Anita also attends various classes through SAIF as well as other CE classes. She completed her required essay on topic “A friend who is a CSR has come to you for advice about a new customer service job opportunity in an agency in another city. What five factors about the employer and the position would you advise them to consider before accepting the job? Please discuss the most important factor first.” The following is a portion of Anita’s very thoughtful essay:

“One of the factors to take into consideration is the honesty and integrity of the employer. If an employer portrays those characteristics, they will expect the same from their employees and will not condone unethical behavior. Those characteristics will also be reflected in the treatment of employees and customers. Honesty and integrity are of utmost importance in any aspect of life, but especially so when it comes to an employer. The treatment of customers is an important factor to take into consideration. A good employer will treat the customers with consideration and respect while expecting the same from employees. They will show concern for the customer, and the customer’s needs come first, even if that means it is in their best interest to stay with another agency.”


Anita is well thought of at the Hanson Insurance Group. She was nominated by Trent Hanson, and received a glowing letter of recommendation from Brad Hanson where he said “During the time I have worked with her, I have been extremely impressed with her honesty and the incredible hard work she puts forth when dealing with clients.
