It’s officially a trend. Actually, the dissatisfaction most Americans have with their government has gone on now for a couple of decades so it’s been a trend for awhile.
A recent poll from Gallup found just 23% of us are satisfied with how our government is working. A whopping 71% are dissatisfied. Some of us — 48% — are very much so.
That’s the only good news in the poll. In 2021 that number hit a record-high 66%. Intense dissatisfaction eased a bit from last year and now sits at 51%.
The two political parties and independents are all dissatisfied with the state of the nation.
