Insurance analysis firm, Howden said so far COVID has cost insurers $44 billion. Two-years the company predicted losses of $100 billion or more. That prediction was pooh-poohed but it’s now looking quite accurate since the pandemic has no end in sight.
That makes COVID is the third largest cost to insurers of all time. Only losses from Hurricane Katrina 9/11 rank higher.
