Five PIA Western Alliance States Considered Best for Starting a New Business

Some of us already own our business. Or we’ve been working for eons for larger agencies and don’t really want to step out in that direction. However, many, other, younger agents dream of the day they can start one of their own.

According to the publication, The Motley Fool and freelance writer, Mary Girsch-Bock, five PIA Western Alliance states are among the best states in which to start that business.

They are Montana, Idaho, Arizona, Oregon and Nevada.

Girsch-Bock said going out of your own is a growing, and very popular, choice. She said in the first three-quarters of 2020 some 3.2 million new business applications were submitted to start one.

Where you start one — she said — is important. And to pick the 10 best states Girsch-Bock used six factors:

  • *Taxes
  • *Consumer spending
  • *Rate of entrepreneurship
  • *Business survival rate
  • *Labor costs
  • *The weather.

Here are the 10 best states and their scores:
