Fortune’s Best Companies — Four Insurers Make the List

Every year Fortune Magazine does a list of the best places to work in the U.S. It’s called Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work for 2022. The four insurers are:

Nationwide — ranked 21st

Progressive — rated 51st

Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America — ranked 77th

Farmers Insurance — rated 89th

We found this story on Digital Insurance’s website. It reached out to the four insurers to get their thoughts on retaining employees. Three of the four reached back.

Nationwide’s Vinta Clements said, We take pride in being recognized as a destination for top talent and a great place to work. Competitive wages, workplace flexibility, an award-winning culture and an unwavering commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion are all attributes that contribute to our success.”

Allianz Life’s Jenny Guldseth said her company shares the same philosophy. At Allianz Life, were always listening to our employees to hear how we can continue to keep the company as an employer of choice,” she said. “What employees want in a good place to work has changed in the last two years. Still, the core elements that make Allianz a great place to work have stayed the same.”

Guldseth continued and said Allianz values creating community, a caring culture and one that embraces diversity, equity and inclusion.

“We know work is just one part of peoples lives so we celebrate employees for making an impact at work and in our world,” she added. “We strive to provide an employee experience that cares for their physical, social and financial wellbeing so they can think, feel and be their best.”

Mark Welch is the head of diversity at Farmers Insurance.

At Farmers, we recognize the importance of creating an inclusive environment that champions and empowers people to thrive in their roles,” Welch said. As a leading national employer, were honored our efforts have been recognized by Fortune and Great Place to Work as we continue to foster an engaging and rewarding workplace.”

Unfortunately, Progressive’s PR department did not respond to Digital Insurance’s request for comment.
