A Survey — The Economy

ABC News and Ipsos just finished doing a poll on how people feel about the economy. It found that 69% of us say the U.S. economy is getting worse. Just 12% think it’s getting better.

Those thinking the economy is sitting where it has been for awhile numbers 18%.

Gas prices are still on the mind of those who were polled. While not a majority by any stretch of the imagination, 34% approve of how President Biden has taken care of gas prices. That’s up 7% from a poll published in June.

Looking at elections, the poll said:

• *49% are going to favor a candidate, or candidates, who favor keeping abortion legal
• *27% say they’ll support candidates wanting limits on abortion
• *22% say they don’t really care about the abortion stance of a candidate
