AB 2038 Signed Into Law: Longer Protections for Wildfire-Affected Policyholders

California — Wildfire Moratorium: The California Legislature passed AB 2038 and it was signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom at the end of September. It extends the post-wildfire moratorium on insurer cancelations for residences from one year to two. Total loss renewal guarantees are expanded from 24 months to 36 months.
