Coming Next Week — the PIA of Oregon Conference: You Don’t Want to Miss this One.

The annual PIA of Oregon Conference is next week. It runs from June 5th to June 7th in Hood River Oregon at the east end of the gorgeous Columbia River Gorge. Hood River — if you’ve never been there — truly is one of Oregon’s most beautiful communities.

It’s the perfect setting for PIA of Oregon’s annual conference.

The main event of the annual conference is two panel discussions that will have you thinking long and hard about how you run your agency. They are designed to help in these hard times and to leverage your business better by using emerging technology.

But first, Wednesday is golf day at the beautiful Indian Creek Golf Course. We will end the day with a Welcome Reception at the hotel's outdoor patio.

Here's what’s in store on Thursday.

Breakfast then the InsureTech Panel - Everything AI and more: Our panelists are made up of industry professionals that can speak to the rapid changes happening in the insurance tech world.

Next is the annual Awards Lunch: We take a break and gather to recognize the best in the industry.

The afternoon moves on with Conversations for Impact: This is a larger panel where we have meeting of the minds between insurance agents and professionals from different sectors of the industry including human resources, agency mmanagement, agency sales and retention and technology.

The idea here is to share and identify what is working for you and your agency and what isn't. We expect to have tangible takeaways.

Then there’s Happy Hour with Exhibitors. Our variety of vendors are available throughout the day. You are urged to stop by their displays on breaks. Prize drawings will take place around 4:30.

The evening has a Wine/Cider Walk. Hood River is known for its wine, cider and ale houses.

Friday begins where we left off with the panel discussions. Breakfast is with Dan Weedin. He is a well-known motivational speaker, and the title of his talk is Being Resilient Through Disruption.

We will close Friday and the conference with CE and speaker Kathy Fraley, CIC, CPIW. 

As some of you know, Kathy lost her home in the Gray Wildfire in Washington this past August. Kathy has formulated an outline approved for 3 CE in Oregon based on her experience as a claimant. 

Her session: Are Your Clients Ready for the Next Disaster? Preparing Your Clients for After the Fact is a session you won't want to miss!
