Hiring & Retention News — People Starting in Insurance Likely to Stay

Breeze provides insurtech products to whoever needs them. It recently completed an encouraging survey. After talking with 1,000 college-grads and adults between age 22 and 30 that are employed in insurance, Breeze concluded that most will likely make it a career.

• *92% of current insurance professionals say they’ll stay put for at least another year
• *78% say their next job will be in insurance
• *61% say they’ll stay in insurance for at least the next 20 years

  When it came to comparing current insurance professionals with non-insurance professionals, the professionals gave higher ratings for opportunity. Those same young insurance professionals also said there is a “sexiness” to the industry.

• *65% of non-insurance professionals are open to working in insurance
• *Of that group, 57% would rather work at a traditional insurance company than at an insurtech firm
