Mandatory Vaccinations — The Supreme Court No, Employers Yes

Published February 1, 2022 at 4:32 PM · News Releases and Bulletins

The U.S. Supreme Court says the Biden administration cannot enforce a vaccination edict for companies with 100 or more employees. The administration has now officially backed off. While the court says the administration can’t go mandating, a third of the nation’s employers say they’re going to enforce one anyway.

That’s the conclusion of Gartner, Inc. who conducted a survey last week.

  • Just 4% say they’re dropping their mandate
  • 29% haven’t made a decision
  • 12% say they more than likely won’t impose that requirement

Interestingly enough, Gartner spokesman, Brian Kropp said 40% of the employers polled said a vaccination mandate is likely to attract and not keep potential employees away. On the other side of the coin, 25% said it will do the opposite and keep potential employees from wanting to work at their company.

What is more attractive — to have a mandate or not?” He said. Most are not exactly sure what to do.”
