Matt Fox Named PIA Washington Agent of the Year

Matt Fox of AMR Insurance in Lakewood is PIA Washington’s 2024 agent of the year. He was given the award at last week’s annual PIA Washington Conference.

The Agent of the Year Award is the PIA’s way of saying thank you and recognizing that special individual whose accomplishments exemplify the best qualities an independent insurance agent can possess. Those qualities are integrity, dedication and commitment to the members and goals of the PIA.

As an organization, we offer no greater recognition than the PIA Agent of the Year. 

In Fox’s case he’s following a family tradition. His mother, Linda Fox was named PIA Washington’s agent of the year in 1999. She was deeply involved, and very supportive, of the PIA.

So is Matt. He currently serves on the PIA Washington board of directors.

That’s important but not as important as what he means to his family, his community, and most importantly of all, to his commercial and personal lines clients. He’s an example of why it’s critical for consumers and businesses to purchase their insurance via an independent insurance agent of the PIA.

His clients stick with him through thick and thin. He rarely loses one when rates climb. The like and trust him and don’t go insurance shopping.

The reason? Excellent customer service and his rock-solid insurance knowledge. They know he’s always looking out for their best interests so they stick with him and his agency.

Fox also networks and is involved in important work in his county and his city, and in the district where his children attend school.

His employees consider him an exceptional boss.
