Oregon Agents' Advocate Bulletin - October 2024
Published October 22, 2024 at 2:46 PM · Legislative Advocacy - Oregon
This my final bulletin to Oregon PIA/O agents and members. I am retiring as your Oregon lobbyist at the end of October.
It has been my distinct pleasure to represent PIA/O since 1990, which is 34 years. That is a long time! I started my lobbing career in 1986.
I am very grateful to my faithful PIA Oregon Government Relations Committee: Patrick O’Keefe, Kelsey Wood, Wendy Abel-Hatzel, Doug Hartley, Paul Blume, Kim Legato and Gary Wolcott, as well as past members. They have put in a lot of work over the years to serve you.
PIA/O has done an admiral job in its lobbying efforts. PIA/O is part of the grass roots arm of the insurance industry. As such we are highly regarded. I hope you are willing to continue to make your voices heard in years to come. Your messages to your legislators are very important in PIA/O’s and the insurance industry’s lobbying effort. Nothing beats a constituent voice!
However, our political action committee has not received very many contributions. I encourage you to put your money where your mouth is and contribute to the PIA/O Oregon PAC. Your contributions help PIA/O to make our voice heard in the legislative arena.
As for me, my husband and I are looking forward to retirement. We plan to travel some, and make some fused glass items in our kiln. We have taken many courses in the fused glass art, and have won many awards at the Clackamas County Fair over the years. I also love to read, so now I will have more time for that activity.
Thank you for being such a great client, and I wish you all the best in years to come. If you want to communicate with me, see the contact information below. I would love to hear from you.
Cordially, Lana
