First of all, it’s golfing and for a whole lot of us, golfing can’t be beat. And if you’ve never played TOPGOLF, it’s a unique golf experience that’s fun for experienced golfers and novices alike.

The second reason to attend is the registration is absolutely free for all PIA agent members. Your only expense is getting yourself, and/or your staff to TOPGOLF in Hillsboro.

If you’re not a PIA member and want to attend, the attendance fee is $139. And if you’re not a member, this is a great time to learn more about the PIA and its members. Here is information on how to join PIA — /become-a-member/

Third, the PIA Oregon TOPGOLF event gives you plenty of time to network. You can easily meet with old friends and colleagues. And, as with all PIA events, there’s lots of time to make new friends.

Fourth, events like TOPGOLF help you meet with our exhibitors and to stay current with the industry products, services. Part of the agenda gives us the first opportunity to meet PIA Oregon Lobbyist Isis Thornton-Saunders. She has an important update on what’s happening at Oregon Legislature; bills and activities that could affect agents, agencies, companies and insurance in the future.

Lastly, like most of us, you are no doubt in need of CE credits. Those credits comes via an excellent, 90 minute, 2 CE credit class, Oregon: Artificial Intelligence and Its Relevance to Insurance Agencies and Brokerages.

Taught by Matt Slade, among other things, the course covers:

  • Understanding AI in Insurance Agencies: relevance, applications and current trends
  • AI’s role in enhancing agency efficiency: streamlining, AI tools, document management and case studies
  • AI and E&O Coverage: minimizing risks, meeting state regulations, enhancing accuracy and reducing liability and more
