As we all expected, AI is making cyber crime a whole lot easier. The investment firm, BrokerChooser said in 2025 we saw a 1,210% jump in AI-enabled scams. Company spokesman and head analyst, Adam Nasli said the FBI took 22,000 complaints in 2025 involving AI fraud.

That ended up costing $850 million in losses.

"AI makes it trivially easy to clone a broker's branding, generate a convincing voice, or fabricate a compliance certificate," Nasli said. "The key is to never use contact details provided by whoever reached out to you. Take the time to question what you're being asked to do and verify who you're communicating with. A few extra moments of caution can make the difference between falling victim and staying protected.”
