The State Health Alliance Hits 15 States

Democratic Party governors from 15 states are now part of the Health Alliance formed a few weeks ago by the governors of Washington, Oregon and California. Guam has also joined the group.
The governors are billing the alliance as a “nonpartisan coordinating hub.” It may bill itself as nonpartisan but all of the states taking part have a Democrat as governor. The group contends the Trump administration — and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. — are not doing their job for public health.
The group’s focus is to share data, messages, threats and emergency preparedness with each other.
Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson spoke on behalf of the three original states, Oregon California and Washington.
“I’m proud to join this Alliance of governors across the country who are committed to protecting the health of our residents,” Ferguson said. “Diseases don’t stop at state or national borders — and preparedness shouldn’t either. By joining forces, we will act faster and communicate better to ensure our communities stay healthy.”
HHS spokesman, Andrew Nixon said the Democratic Party governors who forced school closures and mask mandates during the pandemic are the people to destroyed trust in public health.
"The Trump Administration and Secretary Kennedy are rebuilding that trust by grounding every policy in rigorous evidence and Gold Standard Science — not the failed politics of the pandemic," Nixon said.
