What to Wear at the Office These Days

It doesn’t seem that long ago that most jobs had dress requirements. Not officially in a lot of cases. Some didn’t require a suit and tie but employers did expect clean shaven men, and both men and women wearing somewhat formal clothing.

That’s not often the case these days. People come to work in tattered jeans, well-worn shirts and jackets, and many are tattoo covered from head-to-toe. This isn’t criticism. It’s reality.

So as workplaces have grown more casual, what ought to be proper attire is under debate. Professionalism and self-expression need some sort of balance.
