Oregon — A Survey Request by Director Sean O’Day: I am writing to invite you to take part in a survey to help guide consumer and worker protection for Oregon. We are the Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS), which is Oregon’s largest consumer and worker protection and business regulatory agency that includes the following service areas:
Building codes
Financial and insurance regulation
Workplace health and safety
Workers’ compensation
You may have connected with us in the following ways:
Consumers – File a complaint, check a license, or learn about insurance and financial products.
Workers – Report a safety concern, get help with a workers’ compensation claim, or learn about return-to-work programs.
Businesses – Get licensed or registered, find information on building code and permits, insurance, and workplace safety.
Partnership – Collaborating to support workers, consumers, and businesses through related government services, legislation, and advocacy.
This survey focuses on your perspectives of the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Risks related to three key areas:
Modernization (innovating and leveraging technology, best practices, and data analysis)
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (reaching and assisting all Oregonians)
Consumer Advocacy and Protection
It should take about 5 to 10 minutes to complete and can be accessed via this link:
A PDF copy of the questions is provided to help you prepare before taking the electronic version. The survey closes 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10. If you need the survey in an alternative language, want to provide your answers over the phone, or have any questions, please contact Marci Nelson at dcbs.customersurvey@dcbs.oregon.gov
Thank you,
Sean O’Day Director
