Wonder What Consumers Wonder About Insurance? A Google Survey Reveals All

Published March 11, 2025 at 1:46 PM · News Releases and Bulletins

Google gets lots of questions about lots of different subjects. One of them is insurance. PropertyCasualty360.com released some information it found on the questions people are asking Google about insurance.

The results are interesting in places and stupifying in others. Here are some of them:

How much is car insurance. PC360 noted of course, there's no way to answer that one. However, Google did say on average we pay $2,670 per year for full coverage.

Another question is when does open enrollment for health insurance happen. It's typically from November 1 to December 15th.

What is gap insurance is another question asked. Everly Life insurance expert, Meredith Bell told PC360 it's a pretty straight forward answer. If your auto — for example — isn't worth what you have left to pay for it, you get gap insurance to cover that span.

How much is health insurance? Google notes price comes down to several factors: age, location, the level of coverage and employer-provided options. Costs vary.

What is life insurance? Yes, we, too, find it hard to believe it’s that confusing.
